FAQs
We are delighted to share this special day with you and have put together this list to answer some common questions. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any other inquiries!
Guests & Attendance
What is the dress code for your wedding?
We kindly request Formal Attire for all of our cherished guests. We invite you to follow the inspiration provided on our website for a cohesive and elegant celebration.
For anyone attending who is not in the immediate wedding party and wishes to elevate their look, Black Tie is highly encouraged, though not required. We appreciate your help in creating a polished and elegant atmosphere for this special occasion.
Are children welcome?
While we adore all the little ones in our lives, due to venue limitations, we are unable to accommodate children. We appreciate your understanding as we plan for an adults-only evening.
Am I allowed to bring a guest or a 'plus one'?
To ensure we can celebrate intimately with our closest friends and family, our guest list is strictly limited to those addressed on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!
Is there a specific color we should avoid wearing?
We kindly invite guests to choose attire in colors that complement our wedding palette. Please see the inspiration page for details.
Cuisine & Dining
Will there be options for guests with dietary preferences or restrictions?
Absolutely. We will have thoughtful options available for guests who require vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free meals. When you complete your RSVP, please take a moment to include any specific dietary preferences, allergies, or restrictions so we can accommodate your needs.
Logistics & Comfort
Do you have recommendations for accommodations near the venue?
Yes, for your convenience, we have secured a room block at the US Grant. The details on how to book your room at our special rate can be found on the 'Travel & Stay' section of this website.
If I bring a coat or valuables, will there be a place to store them?
We will provide a complimentary Coat Check service upon arrival. We strongly recommend utilizing this service for the safe keeping of your coats, purses, and any other valuables you prefer not to carry with you into the ballroom.
Is there parking available at the venue?
Yes, the US Grant offers Valet parking for all wedding guests. Please refer to the 'Travel & Stay' section for detailed directions to the parking area.
Will transportation be provided?
No, our room block is conveniently located in the same building as the venue. Please refer to the 'Travel & Stay' section for nearby stays and how to get around San Diego if you choose not to stay in the room block.
Is the entire wedding indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will take place indoors. San Diego can have cold nights, we encourage guests to bring a coat or jacket for any time spent outside.
What is the terrain like for those wearing heels?
You should feel comfortable wearing your favorite heels! The venue is carpeted in the reception room while both the cocktail hour and the ceremony have tile floors. Additionally, there are elevators conveniently located to help you move between floors.
Is there an open bar?
We are delighted to offer an open bar throughout the cocktail hour and reception, featuring a curated selection of wine, beer, and signature cocktails. Please enjoy responsibly!
Ceremony & Photography
When should I arrive for the ceremony?
We kindly request that guests arrive at least 15–20 minutes prior to the start time of the ceremony. This allows everyone to find their seats, settle in, and ensures the ceremony can begin promptly at 5 PM.
Are we allowed to take photos during the ceremony?
We are planning for an "unplugged" ceremony. We respectfully ask that you turn off all phones and cameras and keep them tucked away during the ceremony itself. We have hired wonderful photographers and videographers to capture these moments, and we promise to share the beautiful images with you! You are welcome to take photos throughout the cocktail hour and reception.
Gifts & Registry
Where are you registered, or what is your preferred gift?
We are incredibly fortunate to already have a home full of everything we need! Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift. However, for those who wish to honor us with a gift, we have established a fund to contribute towards our Honeymoon.
Is there someone I can contact if I have any other questions about the wedding?
Of course. Should you have any questions that are not answered here, please feel free to reach out directly to us, Aidan and Andrew, via text message at (602) 540-2585.
